- Glass can break, exposing children to potentially harmful glass shards
- Glass is an insulator, meaning it prevents heat exchange between the bottle contents and the outside of the bottle. This makes it more difficult to heat/ cool than stainless steel
- Glass bottles are much heavier than stainless steel
- Glass is not bacteria resistant
